There will be an evening of clairvoyance at The Badgers Bar, in Blaenau on Friday 17th September starting at 7.30pm.Tickets cost £5 and are available from The Badgers Bar,The Magnolia Tree (old shakaree) and from Melanie Coombes.

September 17th
Swansea soldier Jessica Evans will be running the Bangor 10k in aid of the appeal on 4th September. Jess is serving with the Army Air Corps.

Great North Run 19th September
Jeff Jones MBE, is running the Great North Run in aid of the Golden Grove Mansion Appeal.

The Great North Run is the world's most popular half marathon road running event.[1] Participants run between Newcastle upon Tyne and South Shields in England. The run was devised by former Olympic 10,000 m bronze medallist and BBC Sport commentator Brendan Foster. Foster was inspired after running in the Round the Bays Race in New Zealand in 1979, and has built upon the Great North Run with a series of other Great Run road races.
September 4th
Cycle ride from John o' Groats to Maindy Barracks Cardiff
Starting Tuesday 31st August ending Sunday 5th September
6 members of the Aberdare Branch of the Royal Welsh Regimental Association who have started a bike ride from John O Groats to Maindy Barracks, completing on the morning of the 5th September Sunday in aid of the Charity Golden Grove Mansion Appeal.
Heading the Ride is Dutchy Mullholland and his son Joe Barrow. We will be all meeting at Halfords in Newport Road at 10:30 Sunday morning on the 5th. There will be approximately 20 members of the branch plus others who will be waiting our arrival around 11:30 at Maindy Barracks.
HTV are engaged and arranged to meet us at Halfords
