October 2nd and 3rd
We would like to thank the RWF Social Club, 29 Walter Road, Swansea for their donation of £578.00 in aid of our Appeal.
Army Cadets from the Neath area over the the weekend of the 2nd and 3rd raised a staggering £1,851.00 by bag packing at the Tesco store Neath Abbey.

Well done to all concerned for their hard work and giving up their weekend for the Charity
David Boswell organised a sponsored Horse ride in the county of Pembrokeshire on the 3rd.. At first the weather was bad, but turned out very warm indeed!

They raised £746.04 and the amount is still rising. We would like to thank all David's friends who helped take part and raise this money. Thank you All very much :)
Yet another fantastic tribute show was held on Saturday 2nd October at Cwmgors RFC.  There were the usual die hard singers performing their acts, polished as ever. Huw Bowen yet again kept the audience entertained as only he can and gave everyone a memory of his antics to take home.

Many thanks to Melanie and everyone involved in the hard work it takes to provide an evening of fabulous entertainment such as this. The amount raised for the charity came to an impressive £651.63 but as Barclays were matchfunding, that has risen to £804.63

Pysgotwyr Cler Y Cwm Charity Fish Off at Tyn Y Graig on 15th August Raised £1007.00 Thank you, to all who took part at the Charity Fish Off.
A "Night with the stars" tribute show at Glynneath Social Club was another successful fundraising event for 'Healing the wounds' GoldenGrove Appeal.
£1,300 was raised on the night! Many thanks to all who took part and those who supported the event. Special thanks to Mick Gillespie for organising the venue and the ticket sales.

A concert was held by the Llanfihangel Rhos y Corn Church Council, in memory of Bombardier Sam Robinson 5th Regiment Royal Artillery from Carmarthen, who tragically lost his life on patrol in Sangin, Afghanistan on 8th July 2010. Sam's mum, Alison Robinson has since been helping to raise funds for 'Healing the Wounds' Golden Grove Appeal and has enlisted the help of many individuals.

Proceeds from the concert amounted to £270 and our thanks go to Carol Evans, secretary of the church council for the organisation and also the kindness shown by all who took part in this event.

A fantastic evening of musical talent was enjoyed by all at the Princess Royal Theatre in Port Talbot this evening. Our thanks go to all the artists who gave their time for the charity and also the help from the Veterans at Neath Royal British Legion. Special thanks to Tina Marvin who organised the event which raised £2360 for the charity. Thank you and well done to everyone!
On the 26th June Social Services / Transmedia held a sponsored push bike ride from Swansea to Brecon and raised

The 1 Royal Welsh were given the freedom of both towns, Caerphilly and Blackwood on Saturday 25th September.  Kevin Richards, Executive Director of our charity headed the bucket collection, which was also attended by veterans Bill John and Jeff Dirk, from the Royal Welsh Veterans Association, Bridgend branch.  Also helping to collect were members of the Air Cadets 1223 Caerphilly Squadron, Cadet Williams, Cadet Pierce and Cadet Soos.  Total amount raised for 'Healing the Wounds' Golden Grove Appeal was £1020.58.  Our thanks go to all who took part, extremely well done!
The Military Preperation College Farnborough
On the 11th August our students held a 24hr Fitness Event, where, as a group, they achieved a minimum of: Run 180 miles, Carry a pair of filled jerry cans for 14.4 km, 3600 press ups, 4800 situps, 360 pull ups and achieve 'level' 440 on a bleep test.
We are very grateful to everyone who took part, £400! Fantastic!
