Kevin Richards (Richie 42) Executive Director and Appeal Organiser
Kevin is a former combat medic with the Royal Regiment of Wales and has served in many countries, including Northern Ireland and served in Operation Desert Storm. He is treasurer for the Bridgend Branch of the Royal Welsh Veterans Association and created and maintains, the www.royalwelshveterans.co.uk website.
Kevin has seen a need for a Welsh convalescent home for our wounded and even though he is no longer in the forces, has never stopped caring for them and is passionate about succeeding with Golden Grove.


Arfon Williams (Will 71) Director, Appeal Fundraiser
Arfon is a former combat medic with the Royal Regiment of Wales and has served with Kevin in Northern Ireland and Germany amongst other countries. He has 30 years of service behind him and has two sons currently serving.
Arfon is totally committed to helping those in the forces who are suffering and has himself, been diagnosed with PTSD, so can fully relate to the problems of fellow sufferers.
Vice Chairman of the British Legion Ynysybwl Branch amongst other military organisations.
Major Mike Hooley Appeal Trustee
Mike is the Association Secretary of The Regimental Association The Royal Welsh and is President of The Bridgend and District Branch. One of his core responsibilities is Benevolence for The Royal Welsh and for former members of its antecedent Regiments, The South Wales Borderers, The Welch Regiment, The Monmouthsire Regiment and The Royal Regiment of Wales

Carol Richards Director and Charity Secretary
Carol is secretary and director for our appeal. She has a background in the banking industry and has mostly had experience in administration since then. Carol also spent a few years as Sergeant instructor with the Army Cadets at Neath, gaining weapons training experience and also completed an assault course supervisors course.
Carol is committed to helping Golden Grove Appeal and is constantly striving to help raise awareness within our Welsh communities.


GOLDEN GROVE MANSION POLICY STATEMENT
The Policy of Golden Grove Mansion will be to provide Serving and Veteran members of the Armed Forces and our other clients with a wide range of programmes and with an ability to provide high quality care, while respecting their dignity and autonomy of all clients.
When established the Golden Grove Mansion will, in order of priority, assist:
a. Members and Veterans of the UK Armed Forces and their families.
b. UK members of the Emergency Services and their families
c. UK civilians who need treatment for PTSD
d. Members of Allied Armed Forces who fall ill whilst in the UK
The Golden Grove’s cutting-edge programmes are intended to meet the needs of our clients, and their family members, by providing assistance and training to help them adjust to their various injuries. We will provide facilities for HMRC and the Veterans Agency to meet and confidentially discuss the client’s needs.
The Mansion will provide Veterans and their families and others with short-term or respite care in addition to offering support services, through its day centre.
